At the beginning of the new year, one of our traditions in the Tiny Tigers and Little Dragons class is to discuss the importance of setting goals and dedicate some class time to putting that discussion into practice! . They always knock it out of the park, but they did an especially awesome job this year! . At the beginning of the week, we set a goal of doing a total of 30 push-ups with good form by the end of class. Throughout the class, they did several sets of 5 push-ups to reach that goal and left feeling proud! . And as the week went on, these rock stars enthusiastically asked to increase the total such that by the end of the week, it made it all of the way up to 100! Yes, a total of 100 push-ups in one class with good form! . Through this process, they learned the importance of breaking down big goals into smaller parts and that the bigger the goals the greater the feeling of accomplishment! . This is just one of the many invaluable life skills that our students learn during their martial arts journey!! .
