In Ayurveda, Vasant Panchami (beginning of Spring) and Sarasvati Puja are celebrated today and tomorrow. Sarasvati is the Goddess of education, knowledge, music, speech, writing and The Arts. Sarasvati means “The one who leads to the essence of self-knowledge”. It is traditional to have a Sarasvati Puja (fire ceremony) to honor the “Goddess of Education” and the celebration of the new growth that Spring can bring. Spring is about the will to regenerate and the will to grow. The goal in Ayurveda is to enliven our inner intelligence which activates our internal will to thrive. This comes from your connection to the Life-force as well as the health of your inner terrain. Ayurvedic theory is terrain theory. How can we support our terrain with our thoughts, words, actions, diet, routine and what we focus on? That is the question.
