Announcing the addition of Judo to our class lineup! Led by First Degree Judo Black Belt & Certified National Judo Coach, Jules Harris! Jules has been a friend of the Academy for many years & is no stranger to our mats either. In addition to his Judo Black Belt, Jules also holds a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Martial Arts, however, is only one side of the coin for Jules. He is also a Certified Fitness Instructor, holding Certifications for Nutrition & Hydration, as well as Safe Sport Certifications for Pre-schoolers, grades K-5, Middle School to Adult. Jules is a Husband, Father, Marine, and a combat wounded Veteran. Like Jiu-jitsu, Judo is a combat sport. Their roots are closely intertwined. Distinguished from other martial arts by its hand-to-hand fighting throws to the ground, Judo promotes the development of strength, flexibility, agility, speed, explosive power, and endurance. Jiujiteiros, your takedown game will never be the same! Judo will be held at the Academy on Mondays & Wednesdays from 5-5:40pm. Jules will also offer a Ladies only HIIT class Monday & Wednesday from 5:40-6pm & Saturdays from 10-10:30am. Judo & Ladies HIIT classes will be complimentary to our unlimited members!
