FAQs

What can I expect in a yoga class?

You will be introduced to the basic asanas (poses or postures) which will include standing poses, seated poses and restorative poses. The teacher will show you how to use yoga props such as belts and blocks to help you achieve the postures to the best of your ability. All the asanas have different effects on the body. The basic postures that beginners are taught will build up strength and stamina, and improve muscular tone, flexibility and alignment. Practicing the postures reduces tiredness and soothes the nerves. It also trains and disciplines the mind so concentration is improved. Yoga is therefore a great help if you suffer from stress!

Is your room heated?

No, our studio is not heated. Our space is well ventilated and clean for practice. We believe that heat is built from within. Our teachers are extensively trained in sequencing that will properly warm you up for more difficult postures.

Can I practice yoga if I have an injury?

In many cases, yoga can support the body as it undergoes healing. Our teachers are knowledgeable and are trained to support you with common injuries including knee, neck and lower back pain. Please consult your doctor or healthcare provider before starting a yoga practice.
