FAQs

Can I register and pay for classes online?

Yes. We actually prefer that you pre-register and pay online. If you do not have a login password or if you need help navigating the scheduling links, please let us know and we will assist you.

Can I take a more advanced Pilates class if I have never been on the equipment?

In order to join a more advanced class, you must have previous experience on the equipment and understanding of exercises performed on the equipment. Please take our beginner Pilates classes or a series of intro sessions if you have never been on the Pilates equipment.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give the studio 24 hours notice for any cancellations. Cancellations not made within this window will be charged a cancellation fee. We do not charge fees in cases of illness or unforeseen circumstances.

Can I bring my kids?

Children are welcome in the studio but please make sure that they have something to do so they sit quietly during session. Please do not allow children on the equipment.

Is Pilates the same as yoga?

While Pilates and yoga are both mind-body practices that require mental focus, improve flexibility, increase strength, and calm the nervous system, their approach is quite different. Yoga is an eastern spiritual practice and the physical poses of the practice is only one part of the depths of yoga. Pilates is an exercise-based practice without any leaning towards a particular spiritual discipline. Interestingly enough, Pilates does help people reach calm, meditative states, but this is a side benefit of focusing on movement training and is not the main focus of the practice. The focus of Pilates is improved balance, strength, flexibility and mental acuity.
