Congratulations to these wonderful artists who competed at the Kentucky State NATS Competition this past weekend at the University of Kentucky. I am so very proud of them for their accomplishments! They are enormously talented, intelligent, humble and all-around fantastic humans!! I always say we do these competitions to learn a bit more about ourselves, our craft, story-telling and making new friends. ALL of my students are winners (even those who did not "place") because they achieved this. I am so very proud to be your teacher....you teach me more and more every day!! Kudos to Kaitlin Guenther, Cody Combs, Susannah Langlitz who all won prizes. Shout out to former high school students, Morgan Knight (and her current teacher, Dr. Prindle), Savannah Schwartz (and her current teacher Cynthia Lawrence) and Joshua Turner (and his current teacher, Dr. Burdette) as well. The following students made it to the semi-finals Aubrie Klei, Bailey Klei, Landon Gleeson, Allison Kalfas, Natalie Marshall, Ash Nordman Katherine Murry, and Katherine Paul. A very special THANK YOU to our phenomenal collaborative pianist, Alex Thio without whom this weekend would not have been possible. We are so very lucky to have you in our musical lives!! Thank you to the faculty and staff at UK who did a amazing job allowing all of these young people to have their FIRST in-person NATS Competition in THREE years!! We appreciate all the hard work you did in making this possible!!
