Lesson 4C – Fundamental Mount Controls & Finishes(2 of 3): Take the Back + Rear Naked Choke Today’s Class Times – 12:15pm & 7pm (By Reservation) The mount is unquestionably one of the best places to be in a fight. Once you achieve the mount, you must focus all your efforts on maintaining the position while exhausting your opponent. Nine times out of ten, your opponent will fear getting punched in the face and will instantly roll to their knees underneath you. If you don’t respond to their roll correctly, you will fall off. Knowing how to Take the Back and effectively apply the Rear Vascular Restraint will ensure that you do not lose control and that you can take advantage of the opportunity they are creating. This lesson will provide you the skills necessary to effectively apply the Rear Vascular Restraint (Rear Naked Choke). Then, we’ll discuss how to effectively Take the Back and apply the choke in a real situation.
