Women and Under-represented Genders Longsword with Alanna Days and Times: Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-7PM Ages: 15+ Instructor: Alanna Wendt Every Monday and Wednesday, EGF is pleased to offer Women and Under-represented Genders Longsword with our excellent instructor, Alanna Wendt. Starting last Fall, we began offering this Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) class at the club, and what started out small has grown into a vibrant and welcoming group of enthusiastic fencers. The class has been focused so far on bringing beginning fencers up to speed with our longsword curriculum, and many students have even begun sparring. It is really wonderful to see so many new fencers growing in skill under the guidance of Coach Alanna. Coach Alanna, a long-time fencer at EGF, has been excited to see the growth of the class over the past month. We can’t wait to see what the rest of 2024 will bring as word gets out about our fun new class. If you have any questions about the class, please feel free to contact us. See you at the next one!
