FAQs

What if I am new?

If you are brand new to Pilates, we require that you take advantage of our free 30 minute combined consultation & instruction which is coupled with a short Pilates session before jumping in to other classes. This session allows the instructor and you to identify and discuss specific health restraints that may exist and will enable you to additionally get a hang of our style and familiarize yourself with our equipment. We think a combination of a few Private sessions and a couple of basics is ideal and your practice will benefit in the long run. Even if you have tons of Mat classes under your belt, our free consultation and short Pilates session is a must.

Do I have to get on my computer to sign up?

Booking and scheduling classes on line is certainly available by checking our class schedule here, or, you can get on the MindBody app on your smartphone and search for Poway Pilates then add us to favorites. You can purchase or book sessions here. We also love that you can add your scheduled instruction date and time directly to your calendar.

What if I am pregnant?

Pilates is a great way to stay connected to your changing body, keep you toned and prep you for delivery. After the first trimester, we recommend Pre-natal Pilates classes or 1:1 Training. Our trainers understand what exercises are safe to do how to modify exercises for each stage of pregnancy and post delivery but always ask your doctor if it is ok.

What if I am late to class?

For your own safety and as a courtesy to others, we do not allow people to join the class who are more than 10 minutes late. We know schedules can get harried, but please try to arrive to class on time.

At what age can someone experience pilates?

Minors aged 10 and up are welcome to attend class with parent or guardian. Clients 16-17 years of age will require a New Client Waiver to be signed by their parent or guardian.
