In my early 30s, my fitness routine consisted of grinding away on the elliptical for 30-45 minutes most days of the week.  I got bored of it, so I switched to running 4-6 miles per day. And, you guessed it, I got bored after a couple of years. This fitness rut is part of why I decided to try Cross Fit. I knew I felt better when I exercised, both physically and mentally, but I just could not motivate myself to run one more park loop. To be honest, I always expected that I'd eventually get bored of Cross Fit. But even 8 years in, every workout is a challenge, and every workout feels like an adventure.  Cross Fit is constantly varied, which means that we're always doing something different! We lift heavy things. We flip upside down and climb ropes (if we're comfortable doing those things). We run and jump and throw stuff.
