Workshops For Real Life.com was in the local news in West Virginia this weekend (!) to celebrate a beautiful collaboration with the Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley. Local nonprofit leaders and helping professionals traveled from 8 different counties across two states to learn and practice research-backed self-care skills in community together. This event was a profoundly meaningful experience for me personally as the Founder of Workshops For Real Life.com . I set out to do this work to help caretakers take more effective care of themselves and others. This event helped all of us do this work together. I am grateful to the Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley for investing in communities by directly supporting burnout prevention among our helpers. Gratitude also goes out to the River Valley Health Foundation, Sisters of St. Joseph Health and Wellness Foundation, and the Elizabeth Stifel Kline Foundation for their partnership.
