Since 1981, night after night, year after year I have taught Martial Arts classes. When the students have finished their training and left for the evening I take care of the nightly chores, when done I lock up the Dojo and head home myself. I don’t think in the past 35 years I have had my dinner before 9:00pm. nnThere have been a great many sacrifices along the way and as for a “normal” life, well I don’t even know what that means. For as much of myself that I have given to this philosophy and perhaps missed out on I still feel that keeping true to the Way of the Martial Artist has given me back a 1000 times in the growth of my spiritual self. nnSacrifice and grow, grow and help, help and be helped it’s a beautiful cycle and worth the commitment.
