MatTime is wrapping up its 3rd official wrestling season. Our program has 3 teams (Little. Intermediates & Juniors) and our growth has been significant. MatTimeâs goal is to âBuild good, strong kidsâ and we are doing just this.nnWe seek to better Northern California wrestling, in particular, Placer County. This year and next, weâll have kids that will continue their wrestling careers at: Granite Bay H.S., Rocklin H.S., Lincoln H.S., Twelve Bridges H.S., Roseville H.S., West Park H.S. as well as Del Oro H.S. MatTime is a feeder to all High Schools in the area and our kids will be well prepared to help their school complete. MatTime wrestling isnât just a conduit for talent; itâs a catalyst for excellence in every corner of our community.nnRecent performances speak volumes: from clinching podium spots from 3 of the 6 wrestlers we sent to Nor Cal TOC to an outstanding performance at the California State Championships in Fresno, placing 7 wrestlers. MatTime wrestlers are leaving their mark. nnFurthermore, though we always like to recognize those who find their way to a podium, there are many kids in our program that are making dramatic improvements, and these young men and women also deserve an equal amount of recognition as they await their turns on the podium. Yet, beyond the pursuit of medals and accolades, itâs the camaraderie that weâre seeing in our kids and families that truly defines us. In our gym, culture reigns supreme.nnWeâre also finding ourselves in a unique position where we are developing Jiu Jitsu kids (some of them quite accomplished) and effectively building them into formidable wrestlers. Soon, this will become evident.nnWe wouldnât be where we are without Coach Adrian (and Gary) Garcia & staff. Coach Adrian and his father are providing the leadership that is developing both the kids and the program as a whole. Several dads/coaches have stepped up and given their time and effort to further Adrianâs curriculum.
