Blast off your pottey skills this summer with this 6 week intro to handbuilding. Taught by Rachel. You will be taken through the whole pottery arc and skills of handbuilding. Techniques that involve slab building using had and soft slab, coil building, large forms, small forms, how to trim and finish a piece with handbuilding and glazing your bisqued work. Are you ready to be successful? Handbuilding is a great way to create your vision. No experience necessary and materials included. Students signed up for this class will also have access to Salish Sea ceramic studio during studio hours to work independently. Studio hours are posted weekly on the homepage of the website, open studio hours are an important part of class in order to practice skills and make work. Class size of 10 people.
