A weight belt is a piece of sports equipment, not a band aid for poor bracing mechanics. The benefits of using a weight belt come to those who know how to do so with skill and execute with intentionality. Weight belts help to increase intra-abdominal pressure. This pressure helps to create stability for the spinal joints of the low back. The reason why this is beneficial in sport is because often times it’s the lumbar spine that is the hardest to stabilize, pressing against the belt takes some of the most difficult part of the lift and makes it a bit more manageable. The reason why wearing a weight belt to alleviate low back pain with exercise is a problem is because in this example, you may develop some false confidence. If you lack the skill to effectively use the belt, you run the risk of needing an excess of the intra-abdominal pressure the belt can create, and not know how to create it for yourself. Therefore, you may experience back pain in the moment, it might be hours later, but the damage was done. If you need a belt to lift without pain, let’s develop a plan for you to be able to ditch the belt.

Do You Do Meal Plans For Couples?

Yes we can do couple meal plans! Please sign up and let us know who you are partnered with. We can make the meal plans similar so that it is easier for groceries and meal prep. The meals and portion sizes are different due to different energy requirements and goals.

How Much Weight Should I Expect To Lose Every Week?

We aim for our clients to lose an average of 3 to 5 pounds per week. However each individual is different so this can affect the rate of your weight loss journey.

Do I Need To Exercise To Lose Weight?

No, you do not need to exercise to lose weight. We have had many successful clients join our nutrition coaching service only, however, exercise does help contribute to weight loss and wellbeing.

Can I Drink Soft Drinks On My Plan?

Yes, you can have sugar free soft drinks in moderation to help with sugar cravings and adherence. Tea, black coffee and sugar free cordial is fine to have as well as water of course.

How Are The Calories And Macros Calculated?

The calories and macros are calculated based off your estimated TDEE and goals. The estimated TDEE comes from your personal details and answers on our questionnaire.
