Anyone! The benefits of yoga are universal. All postures can be adapted to the individual to maximize the benefit to your body. As a holistic practice, it marries your mind and body and helps improve strength, flexibility, balance and overall harmony.

Everyone's body is different. Some people are quite flexible, some not. As one who is "not", I can attest that flexibility is not a requirement. Poses can be adapted to each individual's ability. You will, however, become more flexible as your practice evolves. That is one of the core benefits of yoga.

Other than Prenatal, there is no need to sign up for a class in advance. Our classes are filled on a first come basis. Please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the beginning of class.

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to easily move and stretch in all directions. Yoga is usually done with bare feet to prevent slipping, but for those whose feet are always cold, yoga socks are available at most yoga apparel stores.

Let the instructor know that this is your first yoga class. You will learn basic yoga poses and breathing techniques. Always listen to your body - you alone know what is best for you. Any pose can be modified to fit your capabilities. Most importantly, your yoga practice will continue to evolve and will become an integral part of your life.
