Westley Hodges Music Lessons

Westley has spent their life performing for scores of churches. Even though church music is at the heartbeat of their music, underlying tones of blues, jazz, and gospel appear often. In their undergrad at Delta State University on Hwy 61 (the Blues capital of the world) in Cleveland, MS, Westley first experienced the blues. Westley heard a pianist playing the blues at a restaurant called the Airport Grocery. Since then, their interest in and study of the blues has peaked, and they often incorporate this passionate style of music into everything they touch.

We had issues with her clarinet before a school performance and Westley responded immediately in the evening with suggestions and solutions.
He also came and tuned our piano (which hadn’t been tuned in several years) and it sounds beautiful now.
Westley is a fantastic voice coach -- welcoming, knowledgable, and full of useful, specific advice that helped me reach my specific goals
I've been taking lessons and coaching with Westley for just over a year now, and if you're looking for a private music teacher that is patient, willing to teach to best suit your style of learning, and provides useful teaching resources, look no further.
They also leave each lesson more encouraged and happier than when they arrived.
I had not had voice lessons in many years, but I wanted to work through my issues and start working on my upper register again.
Westley has combined just the right amount of patience with accountability, and I feel like I am learning and making progress every week.
She looks forward to her piano lessons, and I believe this is the case because Westley is a very good teacher who pushes without pressuring.
I have been taking voice lessons with Westley for almost five years and piano lessons for about three, and it has been a wonderful experience.
They have been able to explore piano, voice, flute, and recorder which Westley can support with the same confident and nurturing instruction.
