The Untermyer Performing Arts Council's Recognition of the Contributions of Indigenous Peoples. We thank the indigenous peoples, caretakers of Mother Earth for many millennia, realizing and respecting her gifts of water, fire and air. This relationship is based on their profound spiritual connection to Mother Earth, the connection that guided their ancestors to practice reverence, humility and reciprocity. Everything taken is used with the understanding only what is needed is taken.
