Shannon offers both competitive and performance programs in this traditional art form that has come to us from across the Atlantic. Dancers in our programs are given unique opportunities to compete and perform, not only nationally, but around the world. We provide each dancer with the means and support needed to compete and perform at the peak of their ability. It is our balanced approach to solo, performance, and team dancing that leads our dancers to their greatest successes on and off the dance floor.

We were simply looking for a Traditional Dance Studio, where they focused on one dance, and where they listen to that specific dances music; (For example: French Ballet should dance to French Music / Salsa Dance should dance to Latin American Music, both as traditional and true to their respective roots)
Very family oriented.
The owners have helped me out more times than I can count - whether it is finding a lost shoe, helping with feis prep, or helping me understand how I can help my daughter in her practice.
Dancing at the Shannon Irish dance Academy has given my more experience then more people at my age (12).
As an adult who has always loved Irish Dance but had never had the chance to try it growing up, finding the Shannon Irish Dance Academy was such a blessing!
Loads of opportunities to perform and compete.
Our 6 year old has been dancing with Shannon for over 1 year and we are very happy with our experiences.
Although this is a competitive Irish dance school, there are plenty of opportunities to also partake in performance Irish dance such as the yearly production of An Irish Nutcracker (my favorite time of the year!
The high expectations and level of training have help our daughter excel at feis and individually.
When your back is against the wall, and there is no one left to turn to, your family (in this case the studio, their families and most importantly the owners, Sophia and Stephan) are there.
