Owner, Marca Porter, has forever had a passion for teaching and empowering students in regards to their education. She began as a tutor in college. While a graduate student at UTA, she transitioned from student tutor to Learning Specialist, and eventually to supervising the entire UTA Cost-Share tutoring program. After her college years, Marca became Center Director for a national chain of learning centers. After a few years of teaching at a local private school, Marca was asked by a good friend to tutor her dyslexic daughter and thus began the start of Porter Tutoring. As the years went by, Marca's business grew through 'word of mouth'.
