Long overdue review. Me and my family have trained here for over a year now and Portela BJJ really is the best jiu jitsu in the Aurora area. Kids classes are non-stop action which keeps my 8 year olds attention the entire time. Kids DO get to learn submissions and do live rounds, (all highly supervised and age appropriate) unlike some of the other gyms in the area. They also have additional competition based class for all the kids that actively compete. Lots of medals coming back to this gym! Adult classes - top notch instruction from several black belt professors. There is so much emphasis on good technique. Good mix of men and women as well!
