Montavilla Guitar Studio
(8 Reviews)

I just completed a 12-week course at Montavilla Guitar Studio. I started without any knowledge/skills to speak of and MGS was exactly what I needed. They took the time to clearly explain concepts, reinforce understanding, provide just the right amount of challenge to keep things interesting and continually build motivation along the way. They have clearly put a lot of thought into the best way to help someone learn. I highly recommend. Scott W.

Sentiment Analysis
I’m further along than I expected to be, and I feel like Harmon is really listening to my questions and music preferences.
Being new to doing this kind of group class over Zoom, I was surprised at how deftly information was handled both over audio and onscreen, integrating song recordings and tablature pdf’s as well as Alex’s verbal instructions.
Kathy, one of the piano teachers at the studio, is incredibly patient, kind and makes learning music a fun experience for my kids.
Also they are very organized, and makes the lives of busy teens and parents easier.
My six-year old has been taking ukulele lessons here for about three months and just had her first showcase recital.
Welcoming space for the next generation of musicians in Portland.
Had a great time with this group guitar lessons.
I have learned so much in the past two years from the excellent lessons at MGS!
