His classes are designed for everyone, not to weed out people that can't keep up.
For those of you that are not beginners, I've also seen him teach more experienced dancers and he does a great job with them too!
I walked away from the first class with a better understanding of salsa compared to previous classes I’ve taken before.
And he has a good sense of humor, which makes the class very interesting.
Jay does a great job teaching the moves of Salsa and Bachata as well as the history behind the dance.
He teaches you how to understand the language of dancing which is better for learning
I'm no expert in Salsa or Bachata, however, from what I can tell, Jay seems to put an emphasis on mastering the fundamentals which is especially great for beginners.
Jay made realize that I have been missing out on learning how to dance Salsa and Bachata.
He keeps class fun and entertaining as well so I recommend this class to anyone who’s even remotely thinking of learning Latin social dance!
Excellent instructor/teacher who is very patient and also tough on his students to get them to the next level.
