FAQs

How is it heated?

Our yoga rooms are heated with Far Infrared Heat panels in the ceiling which allow for a wonderful ambient heat that warms your body but does not dry out the air. We have fresh air exchange systems, GPS Ionizers in the duct work and humidification for the best hot yoga experience.

What should I bring/wear?

Bring a water bottle to fill up (available for purchase or fill up), a yoga mat (available for purchase or rent), a full sized towel for practice, and a shower towel. Wear something you can move easily in. This can be lycra/spandex type yoga wear, or quick wicking fabrics. Avoid cotton as this retains moisture and heat and can feel uncomfortable. Avoid restrictive materials like board shorts. Stretchy is best! (We have a full boutique for all genders. Available for purchase at HYA)

What is Vinyasa Flow?

Vinyasa Flow is known at our studio as Hot Power Flow and Slow Flow. The short answer is that these classes include Sun Salutations (for example: downward dog, updog) and a sequence of poses that build on each other for a fluid, fun, creative class that moves to upbeat modern music. A few notes: These classes have music, the teacher often will demonstrate or practice with the group at times, and your teacher will offer variations for various abilities.

I'm newly pregnant, can I practice?

We recommend checking in with your doctor and instructor. Many of our students and instructors have practiced hot yoga throughout pregnancy and there are modifications for poses. We do recommend having a hot yoga practice prior to pregnancy so you are familiar with acclimatization of the heat or starting after the first trimester.

How do I cancel my membership?

We will miss you, but we got your back. You can pause, cancel, upgrade or downgrade your pass along the way. Remember if you are in an introductory rate or special rate plan, cancellation will forfeit your discounted rate. Please visit our cancellation page.
