This workshop will be taught online via Zoom. This series brings together the best of Veronica's Core Strength and Flexibility training programs. This series is designed to offer a comprehensive workout that leads to increased functional strength, improved mobility and active flexibility. This is a floor fitness series, no pole needed. STRENGTH: some sessions will focus on strengthening & toning core and legs by utilizing both isolated muscle movements and combination sequences with higher reps to lean and tone targeted areas (light to medium weights and exercise bands are optional); alternately, some sessions will focus on strengthening and building muscles by focusing on a single area to directly isolate and build the targeted muscle group; medium to heavy weights or exercise bands recommended with fewer reps to build & strengthen the targeted area. MOBILITY: sessions will utilize active and mobility-focused flexibility and target legs and hips (for splits and straddles) with very active and mobile movement sequences intended to lengthen muscles and open pathways; we will end each session with a “cool down” that will utilize static/passive stretching to maximize flexibility and return the heart rate to it’s resting. Required Skills: This is a floor-based movement workshop for all levels. Props: light/medium weights and exercise bands, blocks, straps, and foam rollers are recommended but not required.
