Hey there, Hope you had a great week! I consider myself a big fan of oatmeal. I usually have a bowl or two each week for breakfast or as part of a snack with a protein shake. To keep things simple, I’ll typically add some raspberries or blueberries, maybe some pecans or walnuts. Here is one of my favorite recipes that takes oatmeal to the next level. Let’s look at… Awesome Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Ingredients: 2/3 cup Water 1/3 cup Milk (dairy or non-dairy) 1 tbsp Coconut Sugar, or to taste 1 tsp Cinnamon Salt, to taste 1/2 cup Old-Fashioned Oats 1/2 Granny Smith Apple 1/4 cup Raisins 1/4 cup Pecans, chopped for topping Directions: 1. Bring water, milk, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt to a boil. 2. Stir in oats, apple, and raisins. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently so milk doesn’t burn. 3. Remove from heat. Top with chopped pecans or other desired toppings and enjoy! Tips: Feel free to swap out cinnamon for apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice. Be sure to watch closely and stir frequently to ensure the milk doesn’t burn on the bottom of the pot. If the oatmeal ends up too thick, stir in some more milk or applesauce to thin it out.
