FAQs
Can my child wear sneakers or hiking boots to camp?
Our preferred foot ware is a boot with a small heel. We do allow sneakers as we know boots can be an expensive purchase. However, rubber soled shoes with tread can sometime get caught in the stirrups.
Can my child use a bike helmet for horse camp?
No. If you child does not have an equestrian helmet one will be provided by the camp. Equestrian helmets provide more head coverage, especially in the back of the head. Equestrian helmets also have a much harder outer shell for added protection.
Is my deposit refundable?
No. It requires a great deal of meal planning and horse preparation prior to camp. We will however offer a credit towards a future camp or individual riding lessons.
What if my child gets sick during camp?
If a child exhibits any of the symptoms below, the child will not be allowed to stay at camp until a doctor has provided a statement that the child is not contagious. a. Fever b. Vomiting c. lethargy
Can we visit the barn prior to summer camp?
Absolutely! We would love to show you around and meet your child before the rush of the 1stday of camp. It is often less intimidating for your child if they have a familiar place to look forward to visiting.

Working with Garry Young, one of my Cowboy Boot Camp members on balance. Notice I had him take his feet out of the stirrups. He has a nice straight line from the top of his head to his shoulder through his hip to his heel. Nice light hands and loose reins. "Jesse" is relaxed and ready to respond to Garry's cues.
