FAQs
Do you offer trial classes?
Yes! You may request a trial in any class with availability through our parent portal. The cost is $25 and if you register for a class within four weeks of the trial, that money is credited towards your tuition.
What qualifications and training do C.S. instructors have?
The staff at C.S. possess extensive experience in various sports including gymnastics, cheer, ninja, dance, personal training, and general fitness. All class instructors must complete mandatory student and equipment safety training as well as beginner- advanced spotting training. Any class instructor over the age of 18 is also subject to a background check. Team coaches must maintain an active USAG membership, which includes advanced instruction certification, background check, and SafeSport certification. All team coaches are also required to maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
My child has good skills on Floor, why arent they moving up to the next level of gymnastics?
It is important to understand that gymnastics is a multi-event sport. The focus is on developing all-around athletes who are proficient on all events. Students will always be challenged at their level to ensure that they continue to develop skills with proper form and safety in mind. If a student is only interested in focusing on Floor skills, a tumbling class or private lesson is a better option.
Why are children dismissed from the rear exit instead of leaving through the front?
Some parents/caretakers stay to observe their children in class, others drop off and pick up at the end. To ensure that all students stay together and are accounted for at dismissal, instructors take them to their parents and dismiss them one by one at the rear exit. This allows them to be dismissed safely and avoids crowding in our entryway and staircase area.
My child can do flips on the trampoline, why arent they doing them in class?
Q. At C.S., our top priorities are safety and proper instruction. Often, children will teach themselves skills on the trampoline/bed and expect to be able to do those skills on a gymnastics floor, but that is not the case. Our highly trained instructors will work with your child to ensure that they are learning proper skill progression and form, and as soon as they are ready to safely perform a skill, they will be allowed to do so.
