FAQs
Where do I go for the lesson?
The Strano Golf Academy is based at Kelly Plantation Golf Club in Destin, FL. The address for the course is 307 Kelly Plantation Drive. There are two gates that access the property. The main gate is open 24 hours, the back gate just off the MidBay Bridge closes every day at 2:30 so if you have a late lesson you have to drive around to the main gate.
What do I do when I arrive at the course?
You can come early and warm up so you are ready for the lesson when it is time to start. Also, you will want to check in at the golf shop so they know you are there for a lesson and that is where you pay for the training session.
Is there a dress code?
Kelly Plantation requires players to wear a collared shirt and there is a NO denim policy. We are sports nuts here at the academy so we recommend wearing a collared shirt with your favorite teams logo on it so we can have fun talking about that while we improve your game!
What happens in a golf lesson?
Our staff will sit down with you for a few minutes and discuss your game and what is currently happening on the course and in practice or if you are new to the game how to train to improve and have fun with golf. Once that is done we will get to work using video or data from our launch monitor or other technology or training aids to get your game moving in a positive direction toward improvement.
