FAQs

How are you different from most chiropractors?

All chiropractors are not the same. In fact, there are many post-graduate specialties that you can pursue. Most chiropractors only adjust, which limits what they can effectively treat as well as their results. Dr. Mackner has extensive post graduate training which allows him to treat almost all neuromuscular conditions and obtain results faster.

Why should I go to you for my joint or muscle pain?

Our therapists and physicians have extensive training in conservative management of musculoskeletal pain and injuries. Conservative treatment options should always be pursued first before more aggressive treatment options are considered such as surgical procedures. If the diagnosis that the staff at Golfstretch Therapies reach requires a referral of care to a medical doctor, orthopedist, podiatrist, etc. They will refer you to the appropriate physician and work on co-managing your care with them.

Once you go to a chiropractor, do you have to go all the time or forever?

Not at Golfstretch Therapies. While several visits may be needed to correct the underlying problem, our focus is to empower the patient to have them treat their own pain, rather than relying on physician care. This allows the patient to take control of their own health and wellness.

Are X-rays required?

No, the vast majority of our patients are not x-rayed. We only send patients for an x-ray when we suspect a fracture, severe degeneration or possible pathology. We utilize local imaging centers for our x-rays and other forms of imaging such as MRI, CT, and Ultrasound.
