Customized day rides can be arranged for small groups of equestrians with their own horses. Reasonable prices vary dependent on location and number. Your Trail Boss has worked for the last 10 years as a wrangler in Tucson, Flagstaff, and southern Utah. A CHA western riding instructor who is certified with outdoor first aid, Laura is also a Certified Tucson Ambassador who leads equine tours on a dude ranch nearby. Guests enjoy learning about the flora and fauna of the Sonoran desert, some Arizona history, and other places to go in and around the Tucson area. The footing in southern Arizona is generally rocky, so shoes or boots are highly recommended for horses. We will be on established trails, not bushwhacking. After discussing length, rider experience, and location, riders are expected to transport themselves to the trailhead and be in the saddle ready to ride on time. Trailheads do not have water, so please bring plenty for you and your horse along with a rake and perhaps a chair. Generally, we have lunch on the trail or back at the trailhead. All riders will sign a standard release of liability before the ride.
