The Advanced Level 2 Fine Art Drawing and Painting Program is designed for students that have completed Level 1 and work towards higher-level paintings that demonstrate technical skills. The program will build upon their understanding and skills of the Classical Academy System and use larger-sized canvases (16 x 20 minimum) to create their unique paintings. Students will create one fully developed piece from concept to canvas with a focus on self-expression that helps demonstrate their unique ability to convey high-concept ideas through art. The goal is for students to create an individual piece that will be used in competitive middle, high school, and university applications. To accomplish this, students will embark on a Fine Art historical journey ranging from Neoclassicism, Fauvism, Impressionism, Cubism, Contemporary Movements, and more to gather references and inspiration. This course will allow students to showcase their creative imagination as well as their understanding of art movements and styles. Students will also highlight their individuality and the potential of the medium as well.
