Our style Freestyle Mixed Martial Arts is a blend of Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, traditional boxing, wrestling, Judo and street self-defense. Our curriculum is designed to provide real, accessible self defense skills to students should they ever need it; to provide an authentic, high level, competitive martial arts experience to students of all ages and finally to provide a safe and supportive environment in which to train. We are not a 'fighter's gym'. The tradition of structured classes, uniforms and etiquette are an elemental part of our community.

Sentiment Analysis
Our first interactions via email were warm and welcoming, our initial trial class was so fantastic that the kids wanted to join right then and there, and since then, we've been going 3 times a week!
My daughter is making outstanding progress in her technical skills as well as increasing her overall toughness and developing grit.
Best decision ever to have my son at Practical Martial Art.
My daughter's experience was exceptionally important - it taught her to be fierce when defending herself, to be comfortable in her body and its ability to balance and navigate any obstruction.
Great studio, the whole vibe is constructive and positive but Mike’s firm and loving hand is the balance that seems hard for most people to strike.
We get to work on the finer details and nuances but it's always tested with real application and you see how it fits in the bigger picture.
I love that they offer classes for every age and skill level and are now offering classes on Zoom so you don’t have to lose progress during this unfortunate time.
For kids, teens, and adults they offer very technical kickboxing, and Bjj knowledge as well as fitness kickboxing for anyone from beginners to competitors.
The style is similar to MMA, but the Sensei generally calls it "blended martial arts" because MMA has become associated with cage fighting, which is a particular type of tournament style fighting rather than a real mixture of whatever works.
Great place for kids.
