The teachers I found . .. were good players but who never thought about what the job of teaching really involves. Or if they did, then they had a 'system' that you would be force-marched through regardless of your needs and interests. Matt Pennington is a very happy exception to my unhappy experience with guitar teachers. I can't say this with sufficient emphasis: he is a teacher through and through.
