Hector Reyes is the Founder and Director of Mambonova Dance Company. His passion for music and dance led him to become a competitive salsa dancer. After studying various styles from the most distinguished instructors in the field, Hector decided to share his own unique style and expertise with others. Since establishing Mambonova in 2009, his passion, energy and experience has fostered a community of dancers throughout the Bay Area.

I had the pleasure of taking the Salsa Level 1 (intro/beginner) class with Hector at Mambonova.
I started as complete beginner and learned a lot in his classes
Hector and Annaliza are amazing instructors and their devotion to dance is inspiring.
I've seen significant improvement in my skills, and the sense of community among fellow dancers is fantastic.
They pay attention to everyone in the group and work hard to make sure you succeed.
The team is a great way to learn with other students in dramatically improving how you dance, move and share tips and have fun with others.
Hector and Annalisa are fantastic and good for beginners and all levels to improve and learn
Personally, this is just the start of my salsa journey and I’m grateful to Hector, Lydia and the Mambonova team for opening me up to this experience.
