Sentiment Analysis
I recently completed the school’s beginner class, and I’ll be back for more advanced instruction after I return from a two-month vacation in Mexico where I plan to use and improve my new Spanish language skills.
If you're looking for something more immersive than language learning apps, Live the Language is the way to go.
I went from no formal Spanish ever (just a few words picked up over time from living in Texas and having children in Spanish immersion preschool) to having a great foundation in understanding the language and getting more confident in speaking.
But what I found was so much more: the sheer enjoyment of learning to think and express oneself in another language and the fun and excitement of encountering another culture.
The environment is warm and welcoming for learners at every level so you can feel comfortable asking questions and most important practicing.
The teacher, Deidre Aragon, not only invites you into her home for the classes, but also arranges monthly happy hours and brunches with her current and former students at a local restaurant.
Before taking a class with Live the Language I had been trying to learn for a little over a year on Duolingo and Babbel and felt really stuck or like I was barely scratching the surface.
You have to be very organized with all the handouts (I use a physical binder) because a lot of the information provided every week via email is repetitive.
I also really love her home (where in person classes are held) and how she always has tea prepared for class.
Highly recommend Deidre’s lessons, the syllabus/classes are very well planned and hybrid classes (in person or online) made it easier to attend classes amidst my busy schedule.
