I have been taking lessons from Kevin for over 12 years. During that time, I have gone gone from barely understanding how to plug in an amp, to becoming an advanced guitar player. He has been an incredibly patient and knowledgeable instructor- taking me from simple chords, to advance counting and rhythms. We have hired Kevin numerous times to provide entertainment at The Terrell Chamber of Commerce events.
His instruction style is very positive and encouraging.
The only downside I experienced is that Kevin taught me bits and pieces such as scales and appregios for improvising and not the melodic approach for using those scales and appregios in a song.
I took private lessons for 2 years after meeting Kevin at a group class in a Garland community center.
