EDIT: a few months later from the original review, and Robb continues to be one of the most wise and helpful teachers that I know (in any subject).

I contacted Robb because I wanted to truly understand the guitar, why things sounded the way they did and how to make sounds I was envisioning in my head...

The learning curve for skills has far exceeded my expectations and I can’t tell you how impressed with our with Rob as both a coach and a person.

He created an environment where I was comfortable trying things and making mistakes, and that helped me stay motivated and make progress.

With each step he also shows you how to incorporate it into your own playing/improvising, and also works with you on less tangible aspects like phrasing and adding contrast to your playing as you go.

I would recommend him for any skill level- not only an amazing guitarist and instructor, but someone dedicated to helping others learn and appreciate all music, and a solid human being to boot.

I was extremely frustrated because I had been through four teachers and none of them knew how to teach me in a logical and systematic manner that would finally help me rise from beginner to intermediate player.

His lessons and skills have helped me to create some of the best art I’ve ever made, and the skills I learned from him have progressed me as an artist, intensely.

Before I started taking lessons with Robb, I was learning guitar by online lessons (Paid & Free) for a year an half with goal to one day play in a rock/metal band.

Robb has help me over the last of 6 months to be able to solo in any key and develop a great sense of rhythm as well as a good understanding of the fretboard.
