My daughter started at age 5 and has been playing for 6 years now. She always loved piano until we moved, switched teachers, and she reached a more challenging skill level. We tried several teachers and schools in Denver, including in-home teachers. For a year and a half, most lessons ended in tears and home practice was a battle. She begged to quit but we pleaded with her: "Just finish out the session we paid for; just give this new teacher a chance. .." It was an ordeal for all of us.
