I had always struggled with weight issues; I was always heavier, even as a kid. I tried to lose weight on my own, I'd get into a workout swing for maybe two to three weeks, and then I'd fall off. I was at my heaviest, 220lbs, when I finally said enough was enough, and decided to get myself together. I first met Coach Jaffer in 2010, when I started doing karate, and from the karate, I got into Muay Thai and kickboxing. I took a hiatus when I studied abroad, and finally returned in 2015. Since then, I've lost 77lbs and won a World Title in Italy. Kickboxing changed my life; I love it so much. It's an outlet for me, and it honestly helps me focus and get through the days.
