“Studying dance at the Ballard Academy is important to me because I love ballet, ballet is a sport. It can help your body when your body is tired or out of shape. It has lots of stretches, and steps. Some are fun, some are slow and some are hard. I like to practice every day after school, and practice makes perfect. I feel happy and excited when I dance. I like all the nice teachers. They are so nice, that's probably why you have so many kids. I also like the Ballard Dance Academy because there are so many classes that you can do!

He has made me fall in love with playing the piano and slowly but confidently progress on my skills.
He is very patient and explains all the mechanisms/mechanics and sound principles that our precocious kid asks him about and manages to redirect to the lesson.
Seeing all the young hip hoppers commit and learn the routine is so fun and awe inspiring.
Melodie is very gentle and kind and really cares about her students as growing, developing children - not just dancers.
Mr Gino is the best!
I love not only learning new pieces with him but he also shares numerous anecdotes about composers in each lesson which brings a whole other dimension to the music.
