After more than 80 gigs, three (stay tuned for number four) member composed albums, countless friendships, one marriage proposal and a lifetime of good energy, we're closing the club. I personally want to thank the hundreds of people who have become part of our community, even if it's been years since you've interacted with us.

Sentiment Analysis
Right now I am at Chicago.
I went from not knowing where the C was on my bass to playing multiple songs in a live gig in a month.
The opportunity they've created for virtual group performances during the pandemic has given me motivation to keep practicing - a very welcome plus.
Really great community of musicians ranging from beginner to professional, and the instructors are awesome!
Whether you are musical hobbyist, a music professional, or have never touched an instrument - Altered Stage is the place for you.
Being able to apply what you learn from lessons toward scheduled gigs is a fantastic way to keep you motivated and try out new techniques and ideas.
Jason was exceedingly kind and open and working with Aubrey on my singing has changed my life (hobbies are good for functional workaholics ;)
We practice weekly in a great Altered Stage space stocked with quality gear and play a monthly Saturday gig, organized by Altered Stage, at Reggie's in the south loop.
If you are like me, learning to pick up guitar and start playing from scratch, then this is the place to do it!
This is a real community gem where you don't only learn how to play an instrument but also make friends and feel like an artist.
