I cannot say enough good things about Allegra's group guitar classes. Allegra manages to make the class useful and fun, whether you practiced every day that week or if you had a rough week and didn't even look at your guitar. Either way, you leave feeling like you accomplished something. Allegra is very skilled at gauging the interests of the class; If your goal is to learn a lot of great tunes you can strum along to and sing around the campfire, you can DEFINITELY do this in Allegra's classes. But, if you're looking to pick up more complicated skills, you can do that here as well. The classes attract a crowd of really fun, mellow people who just love music and love hanging out one night a week to play and sing. I highly recommend you try her classes! - Shannon H.

She has a wonderful way of breaking down skills - strum patterns and technique, chord shapes, and layering vocals.
And still the class always moves at a quick pace so that you feel like you're learning new things all the time, and that you have the tools to dive deeper into songs and techniques you want to do more of.

Allegra is a gifted music teacher: warm, fun, and able to meet students where they’re at.
Allegra is very skilled at gauging the interests of the class; she takes requests and each week she brings a song (or songs) for us to work on that really fit the skill level of the class and that are really fun, whether it's a song you know and love or something you've never heard before.
I have been taking guitar lessons with Allegra for the last 5 months and I have truly enjoyed her teaching style, the lesson structure and the videos she posts after class so that we can practice what we learned.
