Sensei Jonathan Bannister (Renshi Iaido 6th degree, AiShin-ryu Aikido Shihan) has been practicing and teaching Japanese martial and cultural arts since 1980. A student of Eura Kazunori Sensei (Iaido Hanshi 8th degree), Maruyama Shuji Sensei (Kokikai Aikido), and Don Yoshimoto Trent Sensei (Kendo Kyoshi 7th degree, Iaido Renshi 6 degree), Bannister Sensei trained extensively in Japan and is the founder of several dojo. He is a regular regional and national examiner, and has served as Chair of the Pacific Northwest Kendo Federation's Iaido Committee since 2018.
