As we move into winter, I feel the drain on my energy. I am less inclined to leave the house if I don't have to. The cold makes my body feel brittle, and the lack of sunlight tends to make me want to hibernate. The beautiful thing is, I know these things about myself now, and instead of judging myself, I can meet myself with grace.nI am learning that sometimes, for me, progress looks like standing still to others. I know now that if I don't choose to be still, I end up going backward. So, at times, stillness is my forward motion. I have to be okay with exactly where I am before I can take another step in any direction. This has been the most difficult lesson for me to learn. I am only recently settling into this new reality. nThis has also meant making room, decluttering, closing doors, and not opening them again. So yes, I have been quiet. I have been distant. I have been in a place of deep rest. My boundaries are clear to me know.
