FAQs
How do you handle allergies?
Please let us know of allergies on your medical release form. We will also have you fill out our Allergy Action Plan which can be found on our forms page. Our staff will be alerted to the allergy and maintain a high level of awareness. Medication can be left with directions with the Camp Facilitator.
Is a camper allowed to leave camp?
Usually, campers are not allowed to leave camp. However, with prior permission for extreme circumstances, campers may be allowed to leave with a parent for a short period of time. Any camper who leaves without pre-approved permission from the First Act Executive Director AND Artistic Director will be dismissed from the remainder of camp.
What are the accommodations?
Campers stay at the MNU campus. There are 6-7 campers per suite (2 per room), and there are dressers and wardrobes available. Each suite has a private bathroom. Campers provide all linens.
Do the kids get to have their cell phone or other technology?
Campers are allowed to bring cell phones to camp, but are asked to keep all personal electronic devices in their rooms during the day. Cell phones are never allowed in the rehearsal room! Camp staff will always have cell phones in case of emergencies. Failure to abide by this policy may result in the cell phone being confiscated by camp staff.
What if my child needs to take medication?
Any prescribed medication will be kept with our camp nurse for the course of the week. The nurse will be located in a specific location where campers can go in the AM or PM if they need to take medication. If your child needs more assistance with medication, please send us an email; we are here to help!
