Best Pottery Classes in Lynnwood, WA

In Honor of America’s Bday and healing our country let’s all make art together!!! This stand alone class is specifically to give space to those who want to learn about making pottery on the wheel and maybe aren’t sure about signing up for a whole wheel throwing series yet. Or maybe you want to do something fun and intersting with your friends this summer. Either way, this class is for you! No experience necessary, all materials provided during this 2.5 hour wheel throwing class. Class will begin with introductions and familiarizing students to the pottery wheel, tools and studio environment. Class will be taught by our excellent teacher Payten and she will will guide the students into setting up with clay and tools and start with a wheel throwing demo. Participants will then have time to work on the wheel themself learning about centering the clay to make a cylinder of their ability. Class will finish in time to clean up as well! Price includes all materials and tools to work on the wheel. It DOES NOT include a finished fired piece. This way you can focus on having fun and there is no additional pressure to finish a pot! If students would like to purchase the firing and glazing of their piece it will be an additional $10 in our house recycle gray glaze. Class limited to 10 students.
