What is Maria's program approach?

Maria specializes in an integrated approach to finess, combining exercise, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle into a total wellness strategy specifically for each client. If you are looking for something more out of your committment and investment to your health, look to Maria to help you.

Is a credit card is required to schedule initial appointment?

Due to the significant number of appointment requests I receive, I must have a credit card number or pre-payment on file in order to hold your appointment. If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment time, please let me know at least 24-hours in advance in order to avoid a missed appointment charge to your credit card. If your appointment is not cancelled within 24 hours, your credit card will be charged 100% of the service.

Will I still have to lift weights?

Yes. However, because your program will be specifically tailored to your goals and needs, the strength training will not cause you to bulk up but to lose body fat, tone up and improve metabolism.

Is it safe for me to begin working with a trainer?

Yes. Maria is speicially trained and will be able to tailor you an effective, safe and beneficial training program. Safe and effective exercise during pregnancy will help with lower back pain, the birthing process and expedite the post-partum weight loss.

How do you work with people who have struggled with dieting for years?

Most people who strictly follow a diet, regardless of which one, will lose weight, but once off the diet gain all, if not more of it, back. This often causes depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and feelings of failure. The fact is, "diets" simply don't work because they are based on deprivation and control, focus on food, counting calories, and the number on the scale. Diets do not address your emotional relationship with food: when and why you choose to eat. Maria will help you to transform your emotional relationship to food through a non-diet approach to permanent weight loss. You will learn ways to manage difficult thoughts and feelings without turning to food, how to eat to be healthy instead of eating simply to lose weight, and how to incorporate and maintain healthy lifestyle changes, so that you improve your self-esteem, enjoy the success of accomplishing your fitness goals, and not only make peace with food, but truly enjoy it.
