FAQs

Are parents allowed to watch?

Parents are allowed to watch but are urged to not coach their children from the benches. We encourage parents to themselves becomes students, learn the art, and eventually assist in coaching if they are interested in helping with class.

Will my child become a bully?

No, it is far more likely your child will not be bullied nor condone this sort of behavior with anyone they know. The sport breeds a notion of mutual respect and welfare, and ultimately deeper understanding of mercy and humility. Trusting your training partners and following the golden rule is essential with no other behavior ever allowed.

I used to train at a different gym, do I need to buy a new Kimono?

Absolutely not. We would prefer you purchase a patch from our gym and add it to your kimono should you become a member but having you on the mats is the most important thing to us.

What will my first class look like?

Show up 15 minutes, sign a waiver, put your gi on. Stand near the side of the mat before class begins, introduce yourself to members nearby they are friendly and will help with any questions you have. Have a good workout. Let us know if you liked anything or know any ways we can improve.
