FAQs

How old are your students?

People of all ages want to play their favorite music: elementary school, high school, college, professional, retiree, etc. It really does not matter. We will teach you to play well and when you are ready maybe even perform live! Age does not matter at Huntington Beach School of Music.

Can I schedule a trial lesson?

Yes. This gives you the opportunity to meet the teacher and check out what lessons will be like before signing up. One free trial lesson will be offered to all new students. Additional trials (on different instruments or with different teachers) must be paid for Book trial lesson

How much do lessons cost?

Prices depends on lesson duration and how often they are. Tuition is due by the 10th of the month for 4 or 5 lessons depending on the number of weeks in the month. If you register after the first, the prorated amount for the remaining weeks is due upon the first lesson. The following month you will be placed on the monthly billing cycle. Please visit our Rates page for all the specifics.

How long are lessons?

We recommend 60 minute lessons for most adults and teenagers, 15 minute lessons for the very young with short attention span. 30/45 minute lessons are typically for those in-between.

Do you provide rental service?

We are not a rental shop. However we want all of our students to be able to learn on the best instrument available for a given budget, so we have created a special rental program which we believe will provide students better quality instruments at comparable prices to instrument rental shops. This rental arrangement is available only to students of the school. Please check our rental options.
